The Government increases the total amount for projects under the “Diaspora Acasa Reuseste DAR 1+3” program, as well as the Executive’s contribution to their implementation. Thus, the total budget for an initiative increases from 300,000 to 400,000 lei, and the amount granted by the central authority rises from 250,000 to 350,000 lei.
Applicants can now submit their files online. Citizens from the diaspora will be able to collaborate with local authorities to implement projects in infrastructure, environmental protection, economy, energy efficiency, culture, education, and social protection.
“DAR 1+3” is an initiative that encourages the diaspora to invest in the economic and social development of the Republic of Moldova. The diaspora, the Government of Moldova, local public authorities, and development partners provide project funding.

Since 2020, the program has completed more than 194 local development projects. The Government has extended the project until 2030.
The Government has also approved changes to the organization of Diaspora Days. The Diaspora Relations Bureau will now be responsible for organizing the event, and the dates will be flexible, replacing the previous fixed schedule.
