Two days before the deadline, only 31 out of 66 political parties required by law to submit financial management reports for the first half of 2026 have filed the documents with the Central Electoral Commission (CEC).

According to the CEC, another 12 parties have started completing the reports in the electronic system but have not finalized the process. Five parties created the reports and added only one required signature, while 15 political formations have not taken any action. Three parties have been dissolved.

The CEC reminded political parties that the deadline for submitting financial management reports for the first semester of 2026 is July 15.

Under the law, reports must be submitted electronically through the Financial Control Information System and signed by both the party leader and the treasurer. If the report is signed by an acting party president, the person must also provide confirmation issued by the Public Services Agency.

The CEC warned that failure to submit reports on time, late filing, or providing incomplete information constitutes a violation of legal requirements and may result in penalties provided by law.
