Moldova could receive new recommendations from the European Union, in addition to the existing ones, in order to fulfill them before joining the EU. This was announced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nicu Popescu, during the “Secretele Puterii” show on Jurnal TV.
“We have made sufficient progress on these 9 recommendations of the European Commission, and it is not excluded that we will be given some more recommendations, following which we could start negotiations,” declared Popescu.
We remind you that the Republic of Moldova submitted the application for the status of a candidate country for accession to the European Union on March 3. As of June 26, our country received EU candidate country status.
