Viticulture and vinification are an important branch for the economy of the Republic of Moldova. The wines produced in our country reach 71 countries world wide and are appreciated at international competitions, obtaining gold and silver medals.
During the National Conference entitled “Wine Year 2021. Evaluations, results and perspectives” organized on April 8, Elizaveta BreaHna, interim director of the National Office of Vine and Wine (ONVV) presented TOP 10 varieties included in the Wine Register (RVV).
Thus, the Aligote variety is the most popular in the Republic of Moldova, followed by Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
