Another EU country offers to sell energy to Moldova

After Finland declared that is ready to cooperate with Moldova in the energy field, Greece is making the same offer. The topic of purchasing gas from the Hellenes was discussed in Davos by Maia Sandu with the Prime Minister of Greece, Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

“We intend to intensify cooperation in several fields, especially in energy, considering the increasing role of Greece in providing Europe with liquefied natural gas”, Maia Sandu mentioned during the meeting.

The President appreciated the good relations in the social field, consolidated by the Agreement in the field of social security entered into force this year. Also, the head of state requested the support of the Greeks, in order to speed up Moldova’s accession to the European Union, the Presidency announces.

We specify that the Executive announced on Thursday that Natalia Gavrilița discussed cooperation in the energy field with the Finnish Minister of European Affairs, Tytti Tuppuraine. The official from Helsinki points out that her country is ready for such collaboration.
