China provides humanitarian aid worth 5.7 million lei to the Ukrainian refugees from Moldova

The Republic of Moldova received on Tuesday, March 29th, a batch of humanitarian aid from the Government of the People’s Republic of China, which comes to support the efforts of the authorities in our country in managing the refugee crisis.

Specifically, the lot contains sleeping bags, clothing, towels and personal care products, worth 5.7 million lei.

The humanitarian assistance ceremony took place in the presence of the Minister of Labor and Social Protection, Marcel Spatari, and the E.S. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Moldova, Yan Wenbin.

“China and Moldova, as good friends and reliable partners, are constantly supporting each other, and we are always ready and will strive to do something to help people get through this difficult time,” said E.S. Yan Wenbin.

According to the officials, the donated goods were stored in the warehouse of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, from where they will be further distributed to the centers hosting refugees, as needed.

We mention that the Government of the People’s Republic of China has decided to provide the Republic of Moldova with humanitarian aid amounting to 5 million Chinese Yuan, approximately 720 thousand Euro.
