In a meeting with European officials, the head of the NAC mentioned that “our country will make every effort to follow the steps proposed by the European Commission in the Opinion, especially in the part of investigating the causes of corruption and confiscation of illegally obtained assets”, and The Minister of Justice stated that “the things to be done will only be for the benefit of our citizens, who want to live in a country without corruption”.
“We will make every effort to take the steps proposed by the European Commission in its Opinion, in particular as regards the investigation into the causes of corruption, the confiscation of illegally obtained assets. European officials welcomed the initiated reforms, including the pre-vetting reform, which was developed and implemented jointly with the development partners of the Republic of Moldova. The parties agreed that the following reform processes should also be promoted in coordination with our country’s partners and with the expertise of the Venice Commission.
