Deputy Ion Sapac, member of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security, Defence, and Public Order, is participating in the Vilnius Security Forum on 22-24 February. The event is a platform for dialogue between authorities, politicians, academics, and security experts and is hosted by the Lithuanian Parliament.
“The participants of the meeting will address, in several thematic workshops, topics related to the consequences of Russia’s war in Ukraine; the impact of cyber attacks and disinformation campaigns; the effectiveness and consequences of economic sanctions; psychological warfare and information dissemination; and the role of international partners and allies. The debates will also focus on defense technology: risks and rewards; building resilience: social, economic and psychological aspects, as well as policy recommendations for sustainable security,” inform Parliament representatives.
At the opening of the event, the President of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania, Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen, the Chairman of the National Security and Defence Committee of the Seimas, Laurynas Kasčiūnas, and other officials will deliver greetings.
