Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popsoi will pay an official visit to Washington

From 18 to 20 April, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mihai Popsoi will go on an official visit to Washington. In Washington, he will participate in a strategic dialog between the USA and Moldova.

Popsoi spoke about the program of his visit, which includes participation in the Moldovan-American Convention. “While in Washington, I will hold a series of meetings with key U.S. officials, including U.S. Undersecretary of State for Management and Resources Richard Verma, Special Assistant to President Biden Michael Carpenter, as well as the co-chairs of the Moldovan Friendship Group in the U.S. Congress, Michael Lawler and Deborah K. Ross,” Popsoi specified.

In addition to these diplomatic engagements, the Deputy Prime Minister will deliver an address at Georgetown University. His speech will touch upon various topics, including the reform agenda of the Moldovan government, the implications of the Russian Federation’s actions in Ukraine on the broader region, and the progress made towards Moldova’s path to European Union accession.
