Maia Sandu delivered the subscription lists to the Central Electoral Commission (CEC). The politician arrived at the authority’s headquarters accompanied by Eduard Digore, the head of the initiative group, and Adrian Balutel.
According to current legislation, CEC members have seven days to review the submitted documents. Afterward, they will decide whether to register or reject the candidate.
It is worth noting that CEC representatives have registered 13 initiative groups supporting potential presidential candidates. Alexandr Stoianoglo is the first candidate to enter the electoral race officially.

Currently, the teams supporting Ion Chicu, Octavian Ticu, Tudor Ulianovschi, Renato Usatii, Irina Vlah, Igor Munteanu, Victoria Furtuna, Andrei Nastase, Natalia Morari, Vasile Tarlev, and Alexandru Arseni are actively collecting signatures.
The teams have until September 20 to submit their subscription lists to the Central Electoral Commission, the deadline for presenting these documents.
