EU funded project for vulnerable families launches in Cahul

With the support of the European Union, VIBE Academy also opened in Cahul. VIBE Academy is a social enterprise that will offer more opportunities to children from socially vulnerable families, especially those in rural areas. For the opening of the branch, the social entrepreneur Maria Pasat received a grant of 35,000 thousand euros.

VIBE Academy is an IT Academy that comes to offer you current courses to develop the generation of the future and competent in the labor market. Thus, children will have access to various courses in robotics, 3D design, 3D printing, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Premier.

“Children from socially vulnerable families in Cahul district, namely in rural areas will have free access to studies in the field of IT in all the courses we offer. Subscriptions will also be set up to travel and try to give them the opportunity to benefit from food. ” said Maria Pasat, a social entrepreneur.

The project is funded by the European Union and co-financed by Sweden, being implemented by the Eastern European Foundation in partnership with the European Business Association and the Contact Center.

“Within the project” Civil Society contributes to the economic, inclusive and sustainable of the country “we financed the creation of 15 social enterprises” said Ana Ciurac, project coordinator, FEE.

The first visitors of VIBE Academy were delighted with the new Center and stressed its importance for the digital development of children.

Also, with the opening of the VIBE Academy branch in Cahul, new jobs were created for the inhabitants of Cahul, among them being young specialists.
