The Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in the Hellenic Republic informs Moldovan citizens currently in, transiting through, or planning to travel to Greece about wildfires in the areas of Attica, Marathon, Kallitechnoupoli, and Grammatikos.
In light of this situation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) advises Moldovan citizens to check weather conditions and official warnings issued by local authorities before planning their trip. They should exercise caution in affected areas, monitor local media, and inform the diplomatic missions of the Republic of Moldova in Greece of their presence in high-risk areas. Additionally, they should ensure adequate fuel supplies, water, and food and keep their communication devices in working order.
The MFA also urges citizens to follow the instructions of local authorities and hotel staff if they receive telephone alerts about fire outbreaks in their vicinity.
