Athletes from the Republic of Moldova excelled at the Romanian Cup, the National Olympic and Sports Committee announced on July 17.
Athlete Anna Bergi won three gold medals at the Romanian Cup. She excelled in the 400m hurdles, 4x400m medley relay, and 4x100m medley relay.
“Dimitriana Bezede won both the discus throw (49.61m) and the hammer throw (17.44m), Sergei Margiev won the hammer throw (71.94m), and Mihaela Botnari won a medal after the 5,000m. In the Under 20 medals were won by Dmitry Marusiak (hammer throw) and Igor Olaru (hammer throw)”, the Olympic Committee of Moldova stated.
