Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu met with his Ukrainian counterpart, Speaker of the Supreme Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk, in Vienna to discuss the cooperation between the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine.
“The cooperation between the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine over the last two to three years serves as an excellent example for European Union countries. Together, we have demonstrated that two neighbouring countries can unite for a peace project, such as the one offered by the European Union. During my meeting with Ruslan Stefanchuk, the President of the Supreme Rada of Ukraine, in Vienna, we discussed this achievement, as well as the latest developments in the region. We exchanged views on the parliamentary agenda, particularly the alignment of national legislation with European legislation.
I expressed support for the Ukrainian people and confidence in our ability to participate in the reconstruction of Ukraine with our friends,” the President of Parliament wrote on his Facebook page.
