The Speaker of the Parliament, Igor Grosu, congratulated Ilie Bolojan on his election as interim president of the National Liberal Party of Romania (NLP) today, November 26. The Moldovan official assured him of full support in organizing the parliamentary elections on December 1 and the second round of the presidential elections.
“Following Sunday’s election results, the National Liberal Party demonstrated political maturity by making difficult decisions prioritizing national interests over party interests. I assured President Bolojan of full support in organizing the parliamentary elections on December 1 and the second round of the presidential elections on December 8 within the territory of the Republic of Moldova,” Igor Grosu stated.
Additionally, the Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova urged Moldovans holding Romanian citizenship to turn out and vote to safeguard Romania’s European trajectory.

“In the next two weeks, dear Moldovans with Romanian citizenship, it is important to vote in large numbers to save Romania’s European path. Together, we fight to ensure that Romania remains a free, democratic country and a key factor of regional stability,” Grosu added.
