The President of the Parliament, Igor Grosu, present at the Chisinau Economic Forum “Investments/Development/European Integration”, said that Romania is the main commercial partner of the Republic of Moldova and that currently there are over 1500 companies from across the Prut that are active with us in the country. “I’m sure the figure can be doubled.”
“When I was in Bucharest a few weeks ago, I addressed Romanian and German entrepreneurs with the urge to come to Moldova and invest. But now, at this event, I have the same call – invest in Moldova. Over 1,500 Romanian investors are active in the Republic of Moldova”, Grosu pointed out.
According to the President of the Parliament, business people have no time to waste. “We are currently establishing an intensive dialogue with those who create jobs. We will do our best to make the business activity more profitable and we will stop any actions of business harassment. We will clean several institutions whose function is to help business people”.
“We are in full swing for the digitization of services provided to entrepreneurs. In Moldova, you can open an online business. I know elsewhere this is possible for a long time,” Grosu said.
The head of the legislature said that the authorities have initiated a series of changes to de-mining the red tape for business people to progress.
“We canceled the income tax for SMEs in the case of reinvesting the money. We are determined to remove red tape from the business environment and simplify the tax system.”
