Parliamentarians from the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee of the Italian Senate will pay a visit to Chisinau between June 14-16.
According to the Directorate of Communication and Public Relations of the Legislature, the visit takes place at the invitation of the president of the Foreign Policy and European Integration Commission of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, Doina Gherman.
In Chisinau, the Italian senators will have meetings with the head of the Parliament, Igor Grosu, with the leadership of the Foreign Policy and European Integration Commission, of the National Security, Defense, and Public Order Commission, as well as with the state secretaries from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration and from the Ministry of Defense.
During the discussions, current topics will be addressed, including the European integration process of the Republic of Moldova, the security situation in the region, and the strengthening of relations at the level of parliamentary committees.
The composition of the delegation of the Senate of the Italian Republic includes the parliamentarians Roberto Menia, the vice-president of the Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defense, and the members of the Committee, Raffaele Speranzon, and Enrico Borghi.
