Maia Sandu requested that the future government ensure every citizen takes part in the state’s development project. The president sent a message after the electoral process ended, praising Moldovans for refusing to be “bought, intimidated, or scared.”

She spoke about the Kremlin’s interference in Moldova’s elections and emphasized that unity will protect the country and help develop national programs.

“The result of the vote is not the victory of a party or a group of voters. It is the victory of the country. And we must use this victory for the benefit of all citizens, regardless of who they voted for. This campaign showed that we have vulnerabilities, but we also have capable institutions and dedicated people. In these elections, we saw that both society and state institutions have become more resilient. But we still have a lot of work to do. The future government must ensure that every citizen is part of the country’s development project. No one should be left behind. The elections have ended, and I know many of you are tired. It was a difficult and intense period. Now we must come together and remember that much more unites us than divides us. There are no winners or losers, because only together can we build a peaceful, secure, and prosperous future for the Republic of Moldova. And let us not forget that there is life beyond politics—walks, books, shows, sports, meetings with family and friends, and our favorite work. Good luck to all of us in our work,” said Maia Sandu.
