Minister of Defense of Chisinau Discusses Defense Cooperation and Regional Security within the trilateral meeting

The Minister of Defense of Chisinau, Anatolie Nosatîi, had a meeting today with the Ambassadors of the United States in Romania, Kathleen Kavalec, and in the Republic of Moldova, Kent D. Logsdon.

The topics discussed focused on defense cooperation between the Republic of Moldova, the U.S., and Romania, assistance provided to the National Army, support for the implementation of democratic reforms, and backing for the European path of the Republic of Moldova.

The Minister from Chisinau appreciated the support within the Defense Capacity Building Initiative and the NATO Assistance Package for the Republic of Moldova (Tailored Support Package) in the context of developing national defense capabilities, exchanging experience in managing weapon and ammunition stocks, as well as training Moldovan Army personnel in specialized schools in the U.S.

Additionally, discussions covered the security situation in the region, defense sector reform, and the priorities of the defense institution.
