Moldova Accesses European Funds for Digital Transformation

Entrepreneurs, municipalities, and central institutions in Moldova will have access to European funds for digitization following the completion of negotiations with the EU for Moldova’s accession to the Digital Europe Program. Vice Prime Minister Dumitru Alaiba, the Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization, mentioned this, as reported by IPN.

The Digital Europe Program entails access to funds to enhance digitization for businesses, citizens, and administrations across the continent. The total funds available for all member countries of the program until 2027 amount to 7.5 billion euros, the minister specified.

The Digital Europe Program is a EU funding initiative focused on bringing digital technology to enterprises, citizens, and public administrations. The program provides strategic funding, supporting projects in key areas such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, advanced digital skills, ensuring widespread use of digital technologies throughout the economy and society, including through digital innovation centers.
