Moldova and Japan are about to start negotiations on signing an agreement aimed at promoting and protecting mutual investments. The project was voted on at the meeting of the cabinet of ministers.
The signing of the document will contribute to the development of economic relations between our countries, facilitate foreign investments and stimulate capital flows. Also, once signed, the document will ensure mutual protection of investments, the authorities believe.
“The conclusion of this agreement represents a mutual commitment to the development and consolidation of economic cooperation. Japan is a reliable partner of the Republic of Moldova. We have a good potential for collaboration that can be fully exploited, by strengthening the dialogue between our countries”, Dumitru Alaiba said.
The term of the agreement is expected to be 10 years. It could be extended later for successive periods of five years.
