New Airlines Bring Tel Aviv Connections to Moldova’s Aviation Market

Starting on November 1, two new airlines are entering the aviation market in the Republic of Moldova, as announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration (MAEIE). Both airlines will operate flights to and from the city of Tel Aviv in Israel.

As of November 2, 2023, direct flights from Tel Aviv to Chișinău and vice versa will be operated by the Israeli company “Arkia.”

The announcement follows a meeting between the Moldovan Ambassador to Israel, Alexandr Roitman, and the CEO of the airline “Arkia,” Gadi Tepper. These flights will operate twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays.

Today, the Moldovan Embassy in Israel also announced that the airline IsrAir has decided to operate commercial flights on the Tel Aviv to Chișinău route starting from November 1.

“Throughout this period, the Moldovan authorities, through the MAEIE and our Embassy in Tel Aviv, have been negotiating with various airlines to meet the high demand for this route, including facilitating the return of our citizens,” according to a statement from MAEIE.
