On Europe Day, the head of state, Maia Sandu, invites all citizens to celebrate. The Government of Moldova, in cooperation with the European Union delegation, organized the event at the Great National Assembly Square (GNAS).
The official pointed out that seven decades ago, on 9 May 1950, the cornerstone for peace and unity enjoyed by the countries of the European Union was laid, “This day also marks Europe Day in the Republic of Moldova, a day on which we celebrate our desire to be part of the European family and our path to a life of well-being, security and good understanding for all Moldovans,” Maia Sandu said.
On this occasion, the President called on all citizens. “We invite you with your family and friends to celebrate Europe Day in GNAS at an event organized by the Government of the Republic of Moldova in cooperation with the European Union delegation. We will discuss the things Moldova is proud of you, will have the opportunity to talk to the Cabinet of Ministers, visit the Government House with your children, learn about the projects we are building European Moldova with, and enjoy the concert on the evening of 9 May. Europe is You! European Moldova is Us!” said Maia Sandu.
