On Thursday, the 14th of April, the Vice-Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova and Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Nicu Popescu, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania, Bogdan Aurescu, the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Emine Dzhaparova, as well as the Ministers of Defense of Romania, the Republic of Moldova, and Ukraine, Angel Tîlvăr, Anatolie Nosatîi, and Oleksii Reznikov, met in Bucharest to participate in the second edition of the trilateral meeting between the Republic of Moldova, Romania, and Ukraine.
Last September, in Odesa, a trilateral dialogue format was established to discuss and coordinate cooperation in areas of major importance for the Republic of Moldova, Romania, and Ukraine. This discussion format is yet another proof of the close friendship and strong political and economic ties based on understanding and mutual support between our countries.
In his speech, Minister Nicu Popescu reiterated that the Republic of Moldova stands with Ukraine in its resistance against Russian aggression. Our country’s consistent position remains unchanged: we firmly support the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders.
