The NBM Governor discussed with the first Ambassador of Denmark to Moldova the possibilities of bilateral cooperation

The Governor of the National Bank of Moldova, Anca Dragu, recently convened a meeting with Søren JENSEN, the First Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark to the Republic of Moldova. The purposeful discussions delved into avenues for fostering bilateral cooperation, exploring the potential of attracting foreign investment, and initiating an exchange of insights with Denmark’s central bank.

During the dialogue, Anca Dragu underscored the unwavering dedication of the NBM to advancing the integration of the Republic of Moldova into the European Union. She emphasized that this juncture presents a promising opportunity for foreign investors to engage with our nation’s burgeoning prospects.

Furthermore, Governor Dragu articulated a keen interest in collaborating on bolstering financial intermediation, particularly focusing on empowering small and medium-sized enterprises. She expressed a desire to assimilate the exemplary practices and adaptive strategies employed by Denmark’s central bank in navigating various challenges over the years.

Notably, the inauguration of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Denmark in Chisinau occurred on January 25, 2024, coinciding with the visit of the Danish Foreign Minister, Lars Løkke Rasmussen, to the Republic of Moldova.
