Ness Proiect Europe will build the bridge over the Prut river at Ungheni after winning the tender. Cristian Pistol, Director of CNAIR Romania, announced this.

The construction of the bridge costs 151.68 million RON (excluding VAT). The company has 24 months to complete the project, with 6 months allocated for design and 18 months for execution.

The project includes the construction of the bridges, the connecting road to the A8 Motorway (Targu Mures – Iasi – Ungheni), and the border crossing point. Funded by Non-Reimbursable European Funds, the contract will establish a new road link between Romania (Iasi City) and Moldova (Ungheni District). Each bridge, one for each direction of travel, will have a minimum length of 261.20 meters.

The authorities will sign the contract after the period for submitting and resolving any objections expires.
