The head of the National Police, Viorel Cerneutseanu, and the head of the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (PA), Veronica Dragalin, said that around 200 people had been trained on Shor’s behalf to take part in the protest in Bucharest, where supporters and members of the AUR party were organising demonstrations on the sidelines of the European People’s Party congress.
A minibus for 20-22 people was allocated 10,000 euros, according to the head of the IGP.
More than 2,000 delegates from over 40 countries, including the President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, the President of the European Commission, the President of the European Parliament, heads of state and government, party leaders and European Commissioners who are part of the European People’s Party political family, gathered in Bucharest for the two-day EPP Congress on 6 and 7 March.
