Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova claims that the Kyiv administration may have staged a provocation while commenting on the crash of Russian drones in southern Moldova. Moscow vehemently denies accusations of violating Moldova’s airspace.
According to Zakharova, Russian troops use such devices to attack military targets. She suggested that one possible explanation is that Ukrainian troops collected drone fragments from the front line and brought them to Moldova.
”They are not afraid to target nuclear facilities. What would stop them from gathering fragments and taking them somewhere? The second reason—fragments may have fallen in Moldova after Ukrainian air defense systems failed to intercept effectively the drones attacking military targets in Ukraine,” Zakharova stated, as quoted by TASS.
