“The Republic of Moldova is the only country among those targeted for European Union enlargement that enjoys the support of all member states,” stated Iulian Groza, the executive director of the Institute for European Policies and Reforms, in an interview with Radio Moldova.
According to him, the ad-hoc appearance on the agenda of today and tomorrow’s Brussels meeting of the phrase “enlargement and reforms” implies that all aspiring countries for accession are to be reevaluated.
Iulian Groza also mentioned that at this stage, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine cannot be decoupled.
It is worth noting that initially, the summit agenda mentioned that only the enlargement process would be discussed, but before the start of the meeting, the aspect of reforms also emerged.
