Interior Ministry: new digital platform “e-Dosar” will speed up crime data processing

The Interior Ministry has announced the development of a new automated information system called “e-Dosar.” This digital platform will improve the flow of data and information by simplifying the collection, processing, and distribution between institutions involved in the legal and administrative process.

“Most information exchanges, inside and outside the Interior Ministry, are paper-based. There are no information systems and technologies that could facilitate this process. This state of affairs hurts operational and organizational activities in criminal proceedings,” the Interior Ministry said.

The existing crime data collection system does not fully meet the needs of prosecutors, especially at the criminal investigation stage. The e-Dosar project aims to automate and digitalize processes. It will reduce the documentation processing time and eliminate repetitive manual actions.
