Romanian MEP Siegfried Mureșan says that all the procedures for the disbursement of the 100 million euros previously announced by the European Union have been completed. Thus, the promised financial support will arrive in Chisinau in June-July. Moreover, as budget support, the European Union will provide the Republic of Moldova with another 53 million euros.
MEP Siegfried Mureșan says that the low-income population, the companies affected by the energy crisis and the farmers facing high diesel prices will receive help from the Government of the Republic of Moldova, thanks to European financial support, according to ipn.md.
Moreover, the official says that the resolution recently approved by the European Parliament in favor of Chisinau is a clear signal that the Republic of Moldova deserves the status of a candidate country.
The Brussels official says that this status could be achieved during the European summit on 23rd – 24th June or during the next European Council meetings.

In the context of the submission of the application for membership by the Republic of Moldova, President Maia Sandu will pay a working visit to Brussels on May 17th – 18th.
