The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova (CCI of the Republic of Moldova), organized the Conference “Increasing the competitiveness of domestic producers through energy efficiency”, where it launched the training course for energy efficiency. The course is intended for business managers.
According to Sergiu HAREA, president of the CCI of Moldova, at the request of the members of the Chamber, who are facing the challenges related to the economic crisis and that of energy resources, with the support of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) within the Optim Project – “Opportunities through Technologies and Innovation in Moldova” carried out by Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation, an event was organized to discuss and identify the needs of entrepreneurs in order to develop new support programs in the field of energy efficiency and the selection of potential beneficiaries.
With the increase in natural gas prices, prices in all areas, including electricity, began to rise at the international level. This has a major impact on producers, entrepreneurs, whose interests are represented by the CCI of the Republic of Moldova. Every day we receive messages and requests to provide informational support and facilitate dialogue with public authorities to identify support solutions for economic agents.

In order to contribute to the development of capacities in the field of energy efficiency, the CCI of the Republic of Moldova has launched a new edition of the practical training project “EUREM – European Energy Manager”, which will take place between February and June 2023. The EUREM course is intended for specialists within companies, with work experience in the field of energy, construction or architecture and is part of the successful network for European Energy Managers, which takes place regularly in 30 countries. In the Republic of Moldova, EUREM is organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova since 2011.
“On February 6, 2023, we will launch a new EUREM training course within CCI. Following this course, the trained managers will develop the necessary skills and take over the German practice in the energy field. We are waiting for interested persons to register at CCI’s Entrepreneurial Training Center” said the CCI President.
According to Constantin Borosan, Secretary of State, Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development (MIDR), the Republic of Moldova is a vulnerable country from an energy point of view, and now we have the opportunity to increase and improve energy intensity.
“We really appreciate your efforts to promote all things energy efficient. Regarding the efforts of the authorities, I would like to mention that several actions have been carried out, the “Energy efficiency in the Republic of Moldova” project has already been launched.
