EPC summit on 1 June will be organized to the highest standards: Security efforts are being coordinated

“The EPC Summit on June 1st will be organized on the highest security standards. For the event’s held at a high level, Moldova cooperates with partners not only from the EU but also from all the states which will participate in it,” said government spokesman Daniel Voda.

“We work closely with colleagues from Romania in the organizational process. As for security, our country will be able to organize this international event at the highest level. There were certain security and safety concerns regarding the “European Moldova” National Assembly. This was due to politicians who were used to bringing people to paid protests. However, the fears were unfounded, since government agencies can do their job well. Security efforts are coordinated by the authorities of the Republic of Moldova. And close cooperation with other services, the adoption of experience and knowledge is a natural process that is already underway,” he said.

The government spokesman specified that the Republic of Moldova is the first non-EU country to organize this Summit on its territory.

“The political center of Europe will be centered in Bulboaca, all the press releases from the international press, which has been accredited in large numbers at this event, will say that European leaders have met to discuss the benefits of a safer and more cohesive Europe, from which we can benefit,” Voda added.

Moldova is set to host the European Political Community Summit on June 1st, 2023, an event that will bring together nearly 50 leaders of states and around 1,000 foreign journalists. The European Political Community is a forum created last year, where European leaders discuss solutions to the most urgent problems facing Europe, such as security, stability, and energy resilience.

The Summit will be covered extensively by the media, with Realitatea, one of Moldova’s leading news agencies, providing up-to-date and accurate information about the event. For readers of realitatea.md, bani.md, rupor.md, rlive.md, and moldovalive.md, a separate category dedicated to the Summit has been created.
