Romanian citizens are invited to vote for the 33 members of the European Parliament on 9 June. Voting takes place between 7:00 and 22:00 local time. People can vote until 11:59 PM. The press release from the Romanian Embassy in Chisinau reports it.
Romanian citizens with the right to vote who live, reside, or are temporarily abroad can vote at any polling station abroad. They must present a valid Romanian identity document on election day to vote. The accepted documents are:
- Identity card
- Electronic identity card
- Provisional identity card
- Identity card
- Diplomatic passport
- Electronic diplomatic passport
- Service passport
- Electronic service passport
- Simple passport
- Simple e-passport
- Simple temporary passport
- Military service card (for students in military schools)

We remind you that Moldovans with Romanian citizenship will be able to vote at the “Gheorghe Asachi” High School and the “Spiru Haret” Theoretical High School in Chisinau at the State University of Moldova (USM) and at the “Mihai Eminescu” Theoretical High School in Balti, at the City Hall in Hincesti, Nisporeni, Calarasi, Singerei, Edinet, Ocinita, Rezina, Comrat, and Giurgiulesti.
Elections to the European Parliament will be from 6 to 9 June this year. Parliament is a legislative authority of the European Union. It is elected once every five years. Together with the Council of the European Union, it exercises the EU’s legislative power.
