Public authorities and institutions will be able to pay salaries through the Government Electronic Payment Service (MPay). The government has approved the draft law that will allow this.
This unique model for distributing salary payments will contribute to reducing the operational effort of public entities and will allow the automation, to a large extent, of the processes related to the payment of salaries.
“Thus, by using this service, public authorities and institutions will no longer have to conclude annual contracts with payment service providers, and employees, in turn, will have the right to opt for the offers and services of any integrated payment service provider with Mpay”, states the Government.
According to the Government’s proposal, the new salary payment model could be implemented from the 2024 budget year.
