From May 1, only passengers with tickets will be allowed to enter Chisinau International Airport. The head of the Border Police, Ruslan Galushka, announced it.
According to the official, this measure will increase the security level. According to him, the Border Police is preparing for an increase in the number of passengers traveling from Chisinau, both at the land borders and at the airport.
Galusca also announced the redeployment of forces. More personnel and equipment will be transferred to the crossing points with the highest traffic (Leuseni, Sculeni, and Airport) to ensure a smooth movement across the border. Officials will also coordinate with their counterparts in neighboring countries to avoid congestion on the state border.
