Moscow is closely following the situation on the left side of the Dniester and is concerned about what is happening there. The statement was made by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
“Of course, the situation in Transnistria is the object of our attention and a reason for concern,” Peskov said.
Also today, the so-called leader of Tirapsol, Vadim Krasnoselski, urged calm. The separatist leader says that if there are dangers, he will inform about them personally.
Last week, the Russian Ministry of Defense claimed that Ukraine was planning to enter the Transnistrian region. On the other hand, the administrations in Kiev and Chisinau claimed that they were fakes and that there were no dangers.
