Maia Sandu claims that she wants Moldova to join the European Union by 2030. The statement was made by the head of state on national television, stating that she has “high expectations”.
The President spoke about the meeting of the Commission for European Integration, held a few weeks ago, where the topic was discussed, but, in her opinion, “The Government should move faster”.
“My expectations are very ambitious. I think we must become members of the European Union by the end of this decade,” said Sandu.
In June, the Republic of Moldova received the status of a candidate for EU membership. Also then, it was also offered to Ukraine, while Georgia was guaranteed the prospect of integration.
