Maia Sandu will organize consultations with political parties on justice reform and the fight against corruption

President Maia Sandu will hold consultations with political parties on justice reform and anti-corruption efforts on November 18. The head of the Presidential Office, Adrian Balutel, announced today that they rescheduled the meeting to accommodate requests from several party representatives to postpone the discussion until next Monday.

“President Maia Sandu will organize consultations with political parties on justice reform and combating corruption on Monday, November 18, following requests from multiple party representatives to delay the discussions to next Monday,” said Adrian Balutel.

On November 11, Maia Sandu convened the Supreme Security Council to discuss political corruption and the need to expedite anti-corruption measures. Following this meeting, she called for a shortened review period for political corruption cases, urging the government and parliament to develop a concrete plan to prioritize these cases.

Maia Sandu also announced plans to invite political parties and civil society representatives for public consultations to discuss necessary actions to combat political corruption.
