Egypt has opened its market for Moldovan apples and plums. The Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry, Vladimir Bolea, made this announcement during a TV program on TV8.
“Export is already taking place, but the export tax, in my opinion, is high. We have no trade agreements with Egypt,” the minister said.
According to the minister, the import tax for apples is 40%, and for plums – 60%.
Moldovan products arrive in Egypt by sea, from the port of Constanța, states the minister.
