Prime Minister Dorin Recean has arrived in Vilnius to attend the Three Seas Initiative meeting. He has already met with the Moldovan diaspora and the President of the Seimas.
During the meeting with the members of the Association, which is celebrating its 35th anniversary since its founding, the Prime Minister congratulated the Moldovans in Lithuania for successfully preserving and promoting their culture and traditions. Recean addressed his compatriots about Moldova’s European integration and mentioned their support for the upcoming autumn referendum.
“During the Soviet period, Lucia Bartkiene immigrated to Lithuania through marriage, making her one of the “emigrants of love.” Throughout this time, she has remained dedicated to our homeland and traditions. Currently, she serves as the president of the Romanian Language and Culture Association “Dacia” in Lithuania, “Recean reported on social media.

During the meeting with Viktorija Cmilyte-Nielsen, President of the Seimas of Lithuania, the Moldovan Prime Minister discussed Moldova’s progress towards EU accession.
“Lithuania is a staunch supporter of Moldova’s reform and European integration process, and our cooperation is growing in various areas, such as economy, security, including information technology,” the Prime Minister of our country noted.
Dorin Recean expressed gratitude for the inter-parliamentary cooperation between Moldova and Lithuania. He noted that the Parliament in Chisinau was the first to recognise the restoration of Lithuania’s independence in 1990.
