Republic of Moldova Presents: 25 domestic companies are impressing the Maramureș market these days

25 domestic companies are participating between September 23 and 25, 2022, in the second edition of the “Republica Moldova Presents” exhibition in Baia Mare, Romania.

The exhibition organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova, in partnership with the Maramureș Chamber of Commerce and Industry with the support of the Maramureș County Council and UNDP Moldova- EU4Moldova: Key Regions, brought together domestic economic agents from the agri-food, textile, winemakers , peasant households, craftsmen, etc.

According to the Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova Mihai Bîlba, the exhibition is expected to be a large one, as a result of the successes recorded in previous years in Iași, Brașov, Ploiesti, etc.

“After a break of 3 years, we are returning to Maramureș, not only to present the products and services that our country is proud of, but also to find new cooperation partners. In this less favorable period for entrepreneurs, we believe that only an effective collaboration between business from the Republic of Moldova and Romania can contribute directly to the increase in competitiveness, the quality of products and services and of course the economy of the two countries. Baia Mare is a friendly city and we hope that this friendly relationship will later be felt by the entrepreneurs, participants, who will gladly return to future editions. The “Republic of Moldova Presents” exhibition is a project of the “Made in Moldova” national exhibition, organized by the CCI of the Republic of Moldova. The next edition of the exhibition will take place between 01-05 February 2023, in Chisinau, and in this context, we invite entrepreneurs from Romania, with a joint stand at our event”, Mihai Bîlba also declared.

Florentin Nicolae-Tuș, President of the Maramureș Chamber of Commerce and Industry, thanked the partners for their support in organizing the event, noting that the exhibitions from the Republic of Moldova and Romania were very well combined.

“Today I have great satisfaction and joy that we are hosting entrepreneurs from the Republic of Moldova and it is very important to see how they promote their products. Without the entrepreneurs from the Republic of Moldova, the exhibition was poorer”, said the president of CCI Maramureș.

Doru Lazăr, the vice-president of the Maramureș County Council, welcomed the presence of business from the Republic of Moldova and the vice-mayor of Baia Mare Pap Zsolt Istvan expressed his desire to see, later, Moldovan products on the Maramureș market.

The “Republic of Moldova Presents” exhibition takes place within the “Rivulus Dominarum” event, organized in Maramureș. “Rivulus Dominarum” is one of the largest consumer goods exhibitions in North-West Romania which, over the course of 28 years, has become a tradition for producers and traders who wanted to promote themselves on the Maramures market. In 2019, at the last edition of the event, more than 15,000 visitors crossed the “Rivulus Dominarum” threshold.

About 600 companies participated in the seven exhibitions previously held in Iasi, Brașov, Ploiesti, Maramureș.
