RESTART Learning Lab launched in Chisinau. Minister Alexei Buzu: “It is important to invest in frontline specialists”

By the end of 2025, over 10,000 employees in the social system will receive training through the RESTART Learning Lab. Today, the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, with 21 development partners, signed a joint commitment to support and develop this initiative.

Minister of Labour and Social Protection Alexei Buzu emphasized that the joint declaration solidifies the parties’ dedication to strengthening the social assistance system, particularly by investing in frontline employees, such as social, personal, and community assistants.

“We thank our partners for supporting the RESTART reform, which will transform social services in the Republic of Moldova,” Buzu stated. “Our goal is to improve access to social services. It is crucial to invest in frontline professionals, as we have neglected this area for many years. The quality of services depends on the skills and knowledge of our frontline colleagues, so we aim to enhance their efficiency and effectiveness.”
