Special Issuance of Temporary Identity Documents on Election Day in Moldova

“The Public Services Agency (ASP) informs that on Sunday, November 5, 2023, the day of the general local elections, the multifunctional centers of the institution will issue 𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 documents to citizens of the Republic of Moldova over 18 years of age who do not have identity documents to vote on the day of the election.

Therefore, only on the day of the election, the following categories of citizens can request and obtain temporary identity documents free of charge:

• Persons registered at their residence and/or temporary residence until August 5, 2023, as well as those who changed their residence/temporary residence between August 7, 2023, and November 3, 2023, within the same administrative-territorial unit (commune, town, city);
• Students and voting-eligible pupils enrolled in educational institutions in the locality where they have established their residence or temporary residence after August 5, 2023, provided they present their student/pupil card with entries regarding the educational institution they are enrolled in from that locality.

Additionally, on the day of the general local elections, citizens can receive the requested identity documents until November 3, 2023.

It should be noted that on November 5, 2023, all multifunctional centers of the ASP will operate with a special work schedule: 07:00-21:00.
