Support from Sweden! Moldova receives more than €120,000 to counter misinformation ahead of elections

Moldova is to benefit from approximately 120,491 euros from Sweden. The money will be used to counter misinformation ahead of the elections.

From 24-25 April 2024, Christian Danielsson, Sweden’s state secretary for European affairs, is visiting our country. The delegation includes Torbjörn Sohlström, director-general for political affairs. The officials will discuss bilateral cooperation and Moldova’s EU accession process with the government in Chisinau.

“The working visit to Chisinau is an opportunity to discuss how Sweden can develop its cooperation with Moldova to support the country’s EU accession and reform efforts, as well as to strengthen its resilience ahead of the upcoming presidential and parliamentary elections,” the Swedish Embassy announces.
