The Haric fire will be brought to the Metropolitan Cathedral of Chisinau

The Haric fire from Jerusalem will be brought to the Metropolitan Cathedral “Nașterea DomnuluiLord” in Chisinau on Saturday evening, April 23rd, around 8:00 PM, said Vadim Cheibaș, Secretary General of the Metropolitan Church of Moldova, notes ipn.

Vadim Cheibaș did not provide details about who will go after the Holy Light or how it will be brought to Chisinau. Earlier, His Eminence Vladimir, Metropolitan of Chisinau and All Moldova, stated that this year the situation is complicated, as many flights are being restricted, however solutions will be found.

The Holy Light from Jerusalem will also be brought to the Metropolitan Church of Bessarabia. His Eminence Peter, Metropolitan of Bessarabia, Archbishop of Chisinau and Exarch of the Plains, will travel after her to Iasi International Airport, where she will arrive by aircraft from Jerusalem. The pious abbots, the precocious archpriests and the servants of the holy altars are expected at the Bessarabian Metropolitanate Headquarters, 161, 31 August 1989 Street, on Saturday, starting with 7:00 PM, to welcome His Eminence Metropolitan Father Peter and to receive the Holy Light.

The Haric fire is considered by Orthodox Christians to be a miracle that happens every year at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem on Holy Saturday, the day before Orthodox Easter. Above the Holy Sepulcher a fire is lit which descends from heaven, manifesting itself differently every year and which, in the first minutes, does not burn. Many consider it the oldest attested annual miracle in the Christian world. It has been consistently documented since 1106. The Church of the Holy Sepulcher was built on the site where, according to the Bible, Jesus Christ was buried.
