The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova (CCI of the RM) plays a crucial role in promoting and developing dual education in the country. It serves as a bridge between technical vocational education institutions, businesses, and development partners, facilitating collaborations and implementing educational projects to prepare a skilled future workforce.
Sergiu Harea, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova, explains the priorities for 2024: “The priorities of the CCI for 2024 are to support and develop the business environment in Moldova. In different business areas such as the executive training sector, industry, or services. In this regard, an important thing is the preparation of executives for local companies.”
By facilitating dialogue and cooperation, the CCI contributes to the development of dual education programs that respond to the real needs of the labor market. In this way, students benefit from practical training directly in companies, and entrepreneurs ensure their future employees are well-trained.
A significant aspect of the CCI’s role in dual education is financial support to participating companies. The CCI offers grants and funding to help companies acquire modern equipment and create effective learning environments for students. In collaboration with external partners, the CCI has provided 22 grants to local companies, totaling € 400 thousand, supporting the development of the necessary infrastructure for dual education. Each entrepreneur’s project proposal included co-financing at least 5% of the financial support requested.
