Specifically, sector 2 of the beltway around the city of Chisinau, which is approximately seven kilometers long, will be repaired. The road will be expanded, creating four lanes of traffic. Additionally, authorities plan to rehabilitate the road section connecting the border with Romania, Leuseni, Chisinau, Dubasari, and the border with Ukraine, which spans a length of 85 kilometers.

It’s worth noting that the loan provided by the EBRD covers half of the total project costs. The other portion of the sum was secured from the European Investment Bank.

The loan will be disbursed in two installments, and the credit is set to be repaid by the year 2042.
