The official agenda aims to bolster Moldova’s ties with key European counterparts and enhance cooperation.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration (MAEIE), Minister Nicu Popescu’s itinerary includes a series of high-profile meetings with European officials in Brussels. Among the notable figures scheduled for discussions is Gert-Jan Koopman, the Director-General of the Directorate-General for Neighborhood and Enlargement Negotiations of the European Union. Minister Popescu is also slated to engage with counterparts from EU member states during his visit to the Belgian capital.
Simultaneously, from December 13th to 14th, Minister Nicu Popescu will actively participate in the OECD Eurasia Week in Paris. During this event, the Moldovan official is expected to sign a memorandum of understanding between the Republic of Moldova and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). Additionally, on the sidelines of the OECD Eurasia Week, Vice Premier Nicu Popescu will conduct bilateral meetings with French officials, further solidifying diplomatic relations.
