More than 3,000 Ukrainian refugees receive medical assistance in Chisinau

More than 3,000 Ukrainian citizens, beneficiaries of temporary protection, have registered in the lists of family doctors in Chisinau and are receiving medical assistance.

According to the capital’s vice mayor, Angela Kutasevici, the number of Ukrainian refugees who benefit from free medical services in Chisinau constantly increases.

“As of today, 3,322 Ukrainian citizens – beneficiaries of temporary protection – are registered in the lists of family doctors in Chisinau municipality,” the vice mayor said.

According to the legislation, temporary protection gives free access to various medical services, including pre-hospital emergency medical care, primary medical care, inpatient care in case of surgical emergencies, preventive services, and counseling services.

The municipal authorities encourage all Ukrainian citizens residing in Chisinau to submit the necessary documents to obtain the status of temporary protection beneficiary. This status allows one to register with a family doctor in the nearest medical institution and to benefit from free medical services.
